We specialise in Passive House and high-performance custom homes, built to perform rather than just meet code. Airtight construction, heat recovery ventilation, high-spec glazing and proper insulation, delivered as single- or double-storey builds with or without full PHI certification.

We also deliver carpentry solutions for commercial projects, applying the same standard of workmanship to fitouts and structural carpentry.

Yes. Glen Esk Construction is an Unrestricted Registered Building Contractor, Passive House Certified Tradesman and Designer, as well as a member of the Western Australian Master Builders Association and Passive House Association Australia.

We do, but on the basis that the build standard leads the design. High-performance construction has non-negotiable requirements around airtightness, thermal detailing and ventilation, and those need to be designed in from day one rather than resolved on site.

If an architect or designer is engaged early and willing to work to those requirements, collaboration works well. If a design has already been finalised without them, we’ll tell you honestly whether it’s viable and what it would take to get there.

We’re not precious about it. We’re just clear that the way we build isn’t something we compromise on.

We’re Perth based and work across Western Australia. Metro Perth and surrounds is our core area, but we take on regional projects where the scope and budget allow for the additional travel, accommodation and logistics involved.

We engaged Glen Esk to build a two-storey addition to our small character home in East Vic Park. I work in the building industry so was very cautious about who we chose. Both of the Simons were knowledgeable, honest and transparent from the beginning and that is the main reason that we chose to go with them. We starting during the government stimulus which was challenging times, but our build went quickly and smoothly, we avoided the price increases that everyone else seemed to be getting. The team worked extra hard to keep ahead of the curve during this time which was much appreciated. We’ve been in our home for 2yrs and can say the process was smooth, guys were honest, hardworking and upfront about everything and we are VERY happy with the quality of the build. Any small minor maintenance that has popped up they have been very quick to get back to and rectify. Would definitely recommend them!!!

We engaged Glen Esk Construction to remove a wall in our 1970s home. As a structural wall with two doorways, it was a tricky job but we couldn't be happier with the result.
